Over the last year or more ReSource has been actively seeking God for His direction on its future. The charity employed the Revd Christopher Landau to work with the Director and a discernment team and group of intercessors on the ReSource Future project (A mini newsletter can be read by clicking HERE), which reported to the Trustees in January of 2018 with some broad recommendations for the future. The clearest outcome of the review was that the Lord still had a work for ReSource to do, and that we needed to find an operational model which made the charity’s ministry more widely available, especially in what we are calling ‘little, local and ordinary’ churches in the mainstream of the Church of England and other denominations. In March 2018 the Trustees agreed the main recommendations in a Development Plan for the period 2018-25, with the exception of a proposed name change, which you can read in full by clicking HERE. The Plan has subsequently been re-designed as a working document, on which I report at each quarterly meeting of the Trustees.
On this page you will find documents to support the ReSource Appeal 2018 (Click HERE for my 2018 Appeal Letter). Further background can be found in the ReSource Future pages of the website by clicking HERE and in successive Newsletters HERE, which can also be accessed on the site. You will see from these that the charity has a clear, and we believe God-given, vision for its future, with a set of operational priorities. In order to prepare for an expanded work we have taken on a full time Development Officer on a two year Contract for Services, and a paid fundraiser and volunteer team to help to raise the finance we shall need to put staff in place to build and support a team of volunteer Associates and Regional Coordinators.
In the short term the charity needs to raise an additional sum of £100,000 each year to build the central team and infrastructure. The fundraising is already making some headway, but we are now inviting members of the ReSource family (those who have asked to be on our database) to join us in raising the £150,000 still needed in the next 18 months. Those on our database have received copies of the Appeal 2018 letter and Response Form (Click HERE) to which there are also Links on this page.
I would be delighted if you would pray for us as a staff and consultants team, with the Trustees (now with the Bishop of Brixworth as our chair), and maybe consider whether you can contribute financially to the appeal, as God prompts you and as you are able. This would be such an encouragement to us to keep going in the direction we believe God has set us on.
