We work with local churches for their renewal in the Holy Spirit.
Inevitably this brings new vision, challenge and opportunities, and we continue to support them as they develop prayer, healing, worship and ministry.
We are excited to see churches renewed in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Kevin RobertsReSource is led by Archdeacon Kevin Roberts

Kevin became the Director of ReSource in April 2016.

Kevin was born in the North East and still has a passion for his home town football club, Middlesborough FC. He completed his first degree in economics and history at Queens’ College Cambridge, where he became a Christian. He then spent a year teaching at Bishop Gwynne College in Southern Sudan before studying theology at St John’s College Nottingham, where he met and married his wife Anne. In 1983 Kevin was appointed curate of Beverley Minster in the Diocese of York where he served for three years, before moving to St James’ Woodley in Reading as curate-in-charge for five years. He then spent 18 years in Meole Brace, Shrewsbury, seeing the congregation grow from 150 to more than 500, overseeing a £1.4 million church extension project and two church plants in a school and community building. He was also Rural Dean of Shrewsbury for 10 years. In January 2009 Kevin joined the Diocese of Carlisle as Archdeacon. He also served as chair of the Board of Education with responsibility for diocesan work with children and young people as well as being involved with the development of Network Youth Churches and the internship programme, and as a Residentiary Canon of Carlisle Cathedral.

Kevin has long links with Anglican Renewal Ministries and SOMA and was involved with ReSource before becoming its Director, first as a trustee and then as a member of the Core Team.

Kevin is married to Anne, previously a hospital chaplain at Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary, and now serving as Palace Pastor for the Bishop of Bath and Wells. Kevin and Anne have three grown up children and four grandchildren

The ReSource Administrator is Mrs Paula Smit

Paula is the ReSource administrator. Paula was born in Zambia and then lived in Zimbabwe and latterly East London in South Africa, before coming to dwell among the sheep on the green hills of Mendip. Paula and her husband Johan moved to England in 2008, following a call from God. They have two grown-up sons, Terence and Jason. Paula worked for many years as an administrator with Mercedes Benz in South Africa; and was involved with Johan in mission in her local church for about ten years, of which the last six were in a full-time capacity. Paula is at the heart of ReSource and brings it stability, hard work and flair as well as a real sense of calling.
